2026.09.03 - Internet Service Outage - Main Campus and Core Services

CalArts IT is investigating an issue affecting internet service on the Main Campus and core infrastructure services across off-site locations. We apologize for the inconvenience. Restoration timing is pending an update from our Internet Service Provider.

Summary of outage

• What: Internet service outage and disruption to core services that depend on Main Campus infrastructure.
• Who's impacted: Main Campus has a full internet service outage. Remote locations, including Vista Village, REDCAT, and DTLA, have internet access, but Wi-Fi and core systems hosted on Main Campus remain unavailable.
• Third-party services: Vendor services may remain operational when accessed through an external internet connection.
• Time of discovery: Earlier today.
• Estimated restoration: Pending an update from our Internet Service Provider.
