Get or Replace a CalArts ID Card

CalArts ID cards provide access to services and facilities based on your role and eligibility. This guide explains how to obtain your first card, replace a card, and respond when a card is lost, stolen, or found.

Who can receive an ID card?

ID cards may be issued to eligible:

  • Students
  • Faculty
  • Staff
  • Contractors
  • Approved affiliates

Eligibility and replacement requirements may vary by role or individual circumstances.

Get your first ID card

Eligible users should receive an email from no-reply@transactcampus.com prompting them to upload a photo for approval.

Check your inbox and spam or junk folders for this message.

2. Upload your photo

Follow the instructions in the Transact Campus email to submit your photo. Your photo must be approved before your card can be prepared.

3. Follow the delivery instructions for your role

  • Students: Orientation leaders distribute first cards during orientation or registration.
  • Faculty, staff, contractors, and approved affiliates: Facilities Management sends pickup instructions by email.

Follow the instructions in the email you receive, as pickup arrangements may vary.
