G201 & G202 Instructions

Welcome to the newly redesigned G201 and G202 spaces on campus! Whether you're using these rooms for a classroom session, a meeting, or a combination of both, we've got you covered with state-of-the-art IT equipment and support.

Overview

Room Overview

  • Booking: You can book G201 and/or G202 through our Service Center in Facilities. These spaces can be used as classrooms, meeting rooms, or as a combined classroom/meeting space when the room divider is taken down.
  • Video Conferencing: Both rooms are equipped for video conferencing via Zoom or other virtual meeting applications. Each room has 2 cameras to capture both the presenter and the audience.
  • Device Connectivity: You can connect your own devices to the room's equipment via HDMI inputs.

What to Bring

  • HDMI Cable: Please bring your own HDMI cable if needed. If you don't have one, you can check one out from our IT support team.

Features

Both G201 and G202 rooms are identical and feature the following equipment:

  • Mac Mini: Use the Mac Mini to run Zoom meetings and access other software applications.
  • HDMI Slots: There are 2 HDMI slots available for connecting your devices.
  • Microphones: The rooms are equipped with a podium microphone and a room microphone to ensure clear audio during presentations or meetings.
  • Ethernet Ports: For a stable and reliable internet connection, you can use the Ethernet ports available in the rooms.
  • Whiteboard: Utilize the whiteboard for visual aids and presentations.
  • 70" Sharp LCD Screen: The rooms feature a large 70" Sharp LCD screen for displaying presentations and content.

Instructions:

I Need To...

Host a Zoom Meeting
In One Room

Select Individual Mode: Walk up to the lectern and choose Individual Mode by tapping the button on the Touch Panel.

The Sharp LCD screen will turn on automatically. Tap the Mac mini preview screen to enlarge it.

Launch Zoom: If Zoom is not already launched, using the mouse and keyboard, select the Zoom icon on the Mac Mini's desktop.

You can choose to Sign In with your Zoom account or Join A Meeting if you have already configured one.

Select Camera View:

To select a camera view, tap on the preview screen on the Touch Panel to minimize it.

Choose "Camera Control" to access camera options.

  • There are two camera locations:
    • Lectern View:
    • Preset 1: Tight Shot of Presenter at Lectern
    • Preset 2: Tight Shot of Sharp LCD TV (for presentations)
    • Preset 3: Shot of Presenter and Sharp LCD TV
  • Audience View: Presets are not set; adjust the camera view as needed.

Feel free to use Pan/Tilt/Zoom as needed using the controls on the Touch Panel.

In Both Rooms

See instructions above, but choose Combined Mode, instead of Individual Mode.

Display Content from My Computer
In One Room

Select Individual Mode: Walk up to the lectern and choose Individual Mode by tapping the button on the Touch Panel.

Plug your HDMI cable into either port. The top port is HDMI 1 and the bottom port is HDMI 2.

Tap the icon corresponding to the slot you used for input at the top of the Touch Panel.

In Both Rooms

See instructions above, but choose Combined Mode, instead of Individual Mode.
