We're excited to announce the integration of Google Cloud Print with PrintServices, the campus printing system powered by PaperCut! With Cloud Print you will be able to print to the Library printers from anywhere with an internet connection.
Whether you're at home, your studio, or studying in the Library you'll be able to print from your own laptop, desktop, or mobile device!
Caution: Cloud Print is in Beta
We have tested Cloud Print on Mac OS X, Windows, Android, and iOS devices. It works really well with Office documents, Google Apps (like Sheets and Docs, and printing directly from Chrome. But Beta means before production, as in test.
We have yet to find a situation where it doesn't work well, but being a beta product means that Cloud Print may have unexpected issues. It is entirely possible that Google may suddenly change how the system works, or perhaps your specific Photoshop document doesn't print perfectly.
If you choose to use Google Cloud Print you do so at your own risk. Our Mac OS X instructions requires you to purchase an app that costs $2. CalArts IT cannot support that app directly, nor can we refund $2 if something were to change and break the app. Using Google Cloud Print is entirely voluntary, but we do our best to provide as much help and support as we can reasonably offer.
